Social Studies (Nittler) - There will be a test on Tuesday on Chapter 7.  Boston Massacre research is due on Wednesday.  Then we will begin preparation for the mock trial.

Music (Barratt) - We are working on learning a new Mass setting and songs for the Christmas program (December 18th).

English/Writing (Gillett) - We will begin study of Vocabualry Unit 5.  Also, will continue review of parts of speech.

Band (Copenhaver) - 

Spelling (Gillett) - Unit 12 3X due Wed, sentences Thu and test and packet. Friday

Algebra (Duree) - We will finish solving equations and move to graphing linear equations.

Pre-Algebra (Kilgore) -Solving equations one-step equations Quiz TUESDAY.

Religion (Nittler) - We will study the changes in liturgy since medieval times in Chapter 10.

Reading (Gillett)  -  Begin book reports this week.  Continue discussion of Reading 1. Vocabulary Part 2 test Tuesday.

November 10

Social Studies (Nittler) - We will begin Chapter 7, which deals with events that led up to the American Revolution.  There will be a quiz on Chapter 7, 1-2 on Wed.  Research on the Boston Massacre will be due on November 18.

PE (Seidt) - Basketball Unit/Fitness

Art (Smith) - Starting our watercolor unit. The students are painting with watercolor on old book pages.

Music (Barratt) -

English/Writing (Gillett) - Vocabulary Test Unit 4 Tuesday. Will begin Unit 5 later in week.  Working on review of noun/pronouns.

Band (Copenhaver) - 

Spelling (Gillett) - Finish Unit 11.  3X due Wed.  New packet on Unit 13 passed out and discussed on Thursday.  Sentences on test.  Packet and test are Friday.

Algebra (Duree) - We will continue solving various linear equations. Quiz on Thursday. Test corrections due on Thursday.

Pre-Algebra (Kilgore) - We will be working on integers.  Quiz on Thursday. Test corrections are due Thursday.

Religion (Nittler) - The class will be studying monasticism in Chapter 9.

Social Studies (Nittler) - We will finish Chapter 5 on the English settlement of the thirteen colonies.  The test will be on Thursday.

Spelling (Gillett) -In spelling, Unit 10 unit -suffix -ity due this week.  Unit 11 will be passed out Thursday which will be due next week.

Algebra (Duree) -

Pre-Algebra (Kilgore) - We will be continue working on writing and evaluating algebraic expressions, and properties of numbers.  Test on Friday will statistics, displaying data, probability, displaying probability, writing and evaluating expressions and properties of numbers.

Religion (Nittler) - We will discuss the Vocation Week contest being sponsored by the Diocese and work on essays to submit.

Reading - (Gillett) - Beginning the study of novel The Diary of Anne Frank and the study of the holocaust.
