The Week of August 25

Social Studies (Nittler) - We will continue our geography review in Chapter 1.  Quiz Tues., Ch 1-1 and Thurs., Ch 1-2.

PE (Seidt) -Football Unit and Fitness Unit

Art (Smith) - Reviewing blending. We will be completing worksheets over blending and shading. Friday we will start a new project making sketch books. These sketch books will be used throughout the year. Students will be assigned one sketch a week. The assignment will be given on a Monday or Tuesday, depending on the rotation of classes, and will be due on Thursday or Friday, again depending on rotations. The students will be given the due date the day the sketch is assigned.

English/Writing (Gillett) - Finishing vocabulary Unit 1.  Test Wednesday.  Beginning review of sentence structure and subject/verb agreement.

Band (Copenhaver) - 

Spelling (Gillett) - Started Unit 1 Closed & Syllables 5X due Wed, sentences Thur and test Friday

Algebra (Duree) - Labeling & ordering real numbers, Quiz on Friday. See email sent out for assignments and further detail.

Pre-Algebra (Kilgore) -Rational number and factions.  Quiz Friday.

Reading (Gillett) - Reviewing Genre and Literary Elements

Religion (Nittler) -  We will be working on Chapter 1, Peter and the Early Church.  Open-book review quiz Thursday.

August 18

Social Studies (Nittler) - Welcome back to school. We will be getting the course set up and reviewing geography.

PE (Seidt) - Welcome back! Once settled in we will start a Football Unit and Fitness Testing.

Art (Smith) - Welcome back! This week students will be working on making portfolios for their projects to go in throughout the year. We will also be working on some hand outline designs, that will be made into a school wide work of art!
